Welcome! Cuauhtémoc ship arrives in San Diego and you can now visit it for free

This internationally famous ship has toured the world in several events and celebrations

Mexico is proud to have a vessel of such impressive dimensions: the ARM Training Ship "Cuauhtémoc", which has caused high expectations among Tijuana natives and San Diegans after it was announced that it would arrive in the port of San Diego.

Cuauhtémoc ship arrives in San Diego and it is open to the public

In the morning of Thursday, May 16, the amazing ARM Training Ship "Cuauhtémoc" arrived in the port of San Diego. This event gathered dozens of people in the coast who witnessed the arrival of this majestic ship and its crew who were able to land in the bay with their amazing maneuvers.

The General Consulate of Mexico in San Diego invites all people to this majestic ship which is currently in the coast of San Diego. On Thursday, May 16, people interested may enter the ship starting at 5 PM; from May 17 to May 20, it will be open to the public from 10 AM to 8 PM. It should be noted that admission is completely free.

Ports reached by the Cuauhtémoc vessel

Though this is a Mexican ship, it is known internationally thanks to its participations in marine events and important celebrations around the world. Here are some of the ports that this ship has reached:

Its construction began on July 24, 1981 at Astilleros de Celaya, S.A., located in Bilbao, Spain by orders of president José López Portillo. It currently has 8 honorary mentions, each one represented by a star.

Remember that if you wish to take part of this historic moment, you can visit the ship until Monday, May 20. The ship is located at B Street Pier, next to the port of San Diego cruise ship terminal. If you are a tourist, you just need to look for the enormous ship!
