Tijuana: one of the coolest cities in Mexico in the middle of an extreme heat wave

Currently, temperatures have not risen beyond 72°F

Tijuana is known for its constant weather changes, depending on which area of the city you're in. For example, the farther you are from the coast, you may feel more heat. However, something that everyone in the city can agree on is that we are currently enjoying very nice weather.

While most of Mexico boils, Tijuana enjoys its cool weather

Currently, almost all states in Mexico are experiencing an extreme heat wave, which Tijuana has no clue about, because it is one of the privileged cities with cool weather, and cold mornings and evenings.

Though we have had sunny days during these last few weeks, temperatures have not risen beyond 72°F and this will remain for at least the following 14 days, according to weather website Meteored.

On the other hand, states in northern, central, and southern Mexico are facing temperatures ranging between 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F) depending on the area. It is expected that several areas (specifically the coasts of Tamaulipas, Yucatán, and Chiapas) reach temperatures between 40°C and 50°C (104°F and 122°F).

Though the weather in Tijuana may not be many people's favorite, we are currently one of the few cities that is not experiencing heat, which is why it is important to appreciate these days as summer is approaching and hot, dry, and suffocating conditions are coming.
