Partial opening of Nodo Alamar-Terán in Tijuana is announced

This project has currently achieved more than 90% of its total progress

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign (SIDURT) reported on the partial opening of Nodo Alamar to make traffic flow from Vía Rápida Lamar towards Bulevar Alberto Limón Padilla easier.

Work to open this road consisted of installing railings on the Alamar access ramp with a length of 240 meters and in the upper part of the bridge with a length of 800 meters, public lights, vertical and horizontal signs, and paintings for the appropriate traffic.

In addition, the casting of junctions, the installation of support barriers, casting of lateral streets, and general cleaning of the project was carried out. The restoration of the access ramp of the bridge and its incorporation into Bulevar Terán was also carried out.

This partial opening will allow for more than 120,000 vehicles to travel through here daily, opening the flow from Vía Rápida Alamar into the access ramp located on this road, with a left turn towards Bulevar Alberto Limón Padilla.

This total project consists of a two-lane bridge for each direction with a length of almost 1 kilometer, so as to incorporate the traffic flow from Vía Rápida Alamar and Bulevar Terán towards Bulevar Alberto Limón Padilla. This is one of the most important crossings in the city of Tijuana regarding freight transport and private vehicles. The lower part of this bridge will continue to function for local traffic.

SIDURT calls on drivers to drive carefully, respect signs and speed limits, and use alternate routes in order to prevent accidents and safeguard citizens.
