COTUCO Rosarito joins forces with UABC to benefit the training of marketing and tourism professionals

COTUCO and UABC recently signed a collaboration agreement to join forces and contribute to the training of future professionals

The Committee of Tourism and Conventions (COTUCO) of Playas de Rosarito recently signed an agreement with Universidad Autónoma de Baja California to join forces and contribute to the training of future professionals in the marketing and tourism industries.

The agreement's goal is to promote and take advantage of academic, scientific, and technological cooperation, through which they are looking to improve students' education and, as such, boost the development of the community.

This collaboration with UABC is looking to develop projects that also count as credits, social services, and professional practices so that students can increase their experience at work and daily life.

The president of COTUCO Playas de Rosarito, César Rivera González, said the following about the agreement:

We are very happy to establish this agreement, because we will receive students from the majors of Tourism Management and Marketing, who are doing their social services and professional practices, and contributing to their training through experience while also contributing socially.

It should be noted that this organization has as a goal the promotion, planning, and boosting of competitiveness of the tourism offerings of the municipality of Playas de Rosarito and all activities that help to promote tourism in this municipality.

In addition, UABC will offer learning stays and professional practices to students, through the syllabus described in the appropriate study plans, which will be able to be carried out at COTUCO Playas de Rosarito.

At the signing of this agreement, Dr. Edith Martín Galindo, Provisional Director of the Faculty of Tourism and Marketing of UABC, and Master Omar Valladeras Icedo, Coordinator of Extension and Linking of UABC, and Master Guillermo Navarro Vázquez, Chief of the Department of Support of Cultural Extension and Linking of UABC Tijuana, all participated.
