Rain has not abandoned Baja California, as last Thursday, March 7, a system of showers that mainly took place in Tijuana just ended, and though spring is near, meteorologists have revealed upcoming weather forecasts.

"Aletta", first hurricane of 2024 that will affect Baja California

The hurricane season will begin in approximately 2 months and meteorologists have shared a list of possible phenomena that will affect Mexico. The first of the season, "Aletta", could reach the country in early May.

According to information by Phil Klotzbach, meteorologist of Colorado State University, Aletta will hit the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Colima, Chiapas, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, and Sonora, all of which are next to the Pacific Ocean.

So far, it is impossible to predict when the hurricanes will arrive and their intensity, which is why people in areas that are prone to these phenomena must prepare themselves with emergency bags, evacuation plans, and supplies.
