The Secretariat of Tourism of Mexico highlighted the value of touristic Baja Californian products by giving it the 2024 Innovation Tourist Product Awards in two categories, the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, said.

The state governor said that these categories were Tourism of Romance and Tourism of Health. In the first case, the product awarded was "Bodas de Destino" by Cava San Antonio and in the second category, the award was for "Wellness Resort y Spa" by Rancho La Puerta.

The Secretary of Tourism of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, revealed the winners of this award whose goal is to highlight the initiatives that contribute to the innovation of national touristic products, especially those coming from small and medium sized tourism companies in Mexico.

Marina del Pilar thanked and highlighted the importance of these awards as they consolidate the region as an innovative and attractive tourist destination, positioning it as a favorite spot for national and international visitors.

"These awards are the result of the constant effort of our tourism value chain of offering unique proposals. In Baja California, we are proud of being pioneers of innovation, providing memorable experiences for our visitors and consolidating our position as a world class tourist destination," she said.

Meanwhile the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, explained that the General Agency of Innovation of Tourist Products was the one in charge of giving these awards that recognize the positive impact that Baja California has had in the national tourist landscape.

In addition, he said that the official ceremony of these awards will take place at Tianguis Turístico de México 2024, which is Latin America's most important tourism industry event which will take place from April 8 to April 12 in Acapulco, Guerrero.
