The mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero Ramírez will go to the State Congress of Baja California on Monday, November 27 to present her 2024 Revenue Law bill project, saying that this initiative is built on a gender perspective and social inclusion.

So far, the municipal government has worked with healthy finances and is looking to continue that same transformation for next year, the mayor claimed at the same time as she confirmed that the budget will be aimed to achieve the stability of public finances and the financial system.

The mayor will be accompanied by her cabinet's secretaries and officials and together with the municipal treasurer, Raymundo Vega Andrade, and senior official, Marcelo de Jesús Machain Servín, she will present the law project at 11 AM.

Caballero Ramírez highlighted that this proposal will strengthen collection through a greater efficiency from tax administration to reduce tax avoidance and evasion.

Based on the 2019-2024 National Development Plan, the mayor will give priority to the wellbeing of the most vulnerable groups with fiscal stimulus and will avoid higher levels of debt, as the municipality is meeting the monthly payments of an inherited debt.

In the presence of the members of the Political Coordination Council (JUCOPO), the mayor insisted that the economic program for next year will be based on the principles of responsibility and efficiency regarding financial management and public debt.

She said that this municipal government will look to create greater fiscal growth without increasing existing tax rates or creating new ones.
