Musician and founder of tribute band Strangelove: The Depeche Mode Experience, Brent Meyer, has asked his fans for support through a GoFundMe page to pay for his medical expenses due to his disease.

The musician was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. This was considered delicate enough that he needed surgery last Tuesday.

Fortunately, the surgery was a success and he was discharged. Following doctor's recommendations, he will need to spend a month resting while waiting for more tests to detect possible cancer spread.

The band Strangelove: The Depeche Mode Experience is asking their fans for a little bit of patience while Brent recovers his health. Meanwhile, guitars and voice will be performed by Julian Shah-Tayler, who is the band's keyboard player.

At GoFundMe, $26,000 dollars have been raised to help Brent Meyer, who wrote about his current situation. He said that the money, which can be generously donated by fans or anyone else, will be used to cover healthcare expenses for his rehabilitation. On the other hand, he spoke about what it means to dedicate his life to music, a job he considers the best in the world, especially when playing songs by Depeche Mode.
