Change in closure of lanes announced at Otay Mesa port of entry

Some lanes will be open and some will be closed and they will remain as such for a month

The Consulate General of the US in Tijuana shared a post by the US General Services Administration Pacific Rim Region where they claim that, starting next Monday, there will be a change in the closure of lanes at the Otay Mesa port of entry.

It will be best to start getting ready, because some lanes that were closed will open, while others will remain without any access. Take this into account so that you don't have to wait in line more than you should.

According to the post, lanes 9 and 10 will open, while lanes 7 and 8 will remain closed. This will last a month, approximately, from October 16 to November 13, 2023.

There will be more closures until at least March 2024

TRAFFIC NOTICE - Closure of northbound vehicular lanes will change next Monday at the Otay Mesa port of entry. Construction has ended on lanes 9-10; lanes 7-8 will remain closed for at least a month.

In fact, according to the US General Services Administration’s website, it is expected that closures in different lanes keeps occurring at the Otay port of entry until at least March 1, 2024. You can check their calendar on their website.
