A 1000 square meter marijuana plantation was located around Rancho Santa Verónica in the municipality of Tecate by State Forces agents while working together with the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA). The plantation, once located, was destroyed by state forces agents.

As part of a preventive operation, state agents were making rounds in the rural areas of this municipality, when they saw what looked like a plantation. When they approached this property with an approximate size of 1,200 square meters, they found there were around 4,800 marijuana plants.

Immediately, they were destroyed and the appropriate evidence was taken so that it could be submitted to federal authorities, who will carry out the proper investigations. The Mexican Army helped to carry them to FGR facilities in the municipality of Mexicali.

The Secretariat of Citizen Security of Baja California (SSCBC) has maintained surveillance in every area of the seven municipalities, attacking the causes of violence directly and promptly so that illegal substances don't reach our children and teenagers in order to keep spaces safe and in harmony.
