The Municipal Administration of Tijuana led by Mayor Montserrat Caballero, through the Inspection and Verification Agency, addressed 4 citizen reports this weekend regarding alleged illegal parties with minors involved. It should be noted that 2 of these were effective, managing to safeguard the wellbeing of 150 young people.

These reports were received through social media and addressed by the Unit of Cybernetic Inspectors of this agency, which is why municipal agents immediately went to these addresses to carry out the proper supervision.

The first two citizen complaints were about illegal parties in Colonia Chapultepec Dolores and El Niño, however, none of these cases were positive, determined after an exhaustive review by staff of the Municipal Administration.

A third report spoke about the presence of minors in a household at El Refugio neighborhood, and when they reached this place, inspectors detected around 100 minors in the building, who had access to alcoholic drinks.

The event was immediately suspended and the address vacated with support from Municipal Police agents while channeling the minors to their tutors.

The fourth citizen report was received on Saturday night, where they reported an illegal party with minors in a house in the lower part of Colonia Libertad.

Inspectors found around 50 minors drinking alcoholic beverages, which is why support from the Municipal Police was requested to vacate the building and suspend the meeting.

The 24th Municipal Administration of Tijuana highlighted the trust that citizens have had in this government in reporting illegal parties on social media and through the WhatsApp number of the Inspection and Verification Agency which is (664) 616-3339.

With these actions, the administration also reiterates its commitment with the wellbeing of families and a zero-tolerance policy regarding people who break the rules and endanger the integrity of the children and youth of Tijuana.
