Avenida Revolución, also known as "La Revu", is the most famous avenue in the city of Tijuana. It is currently one of the busiest and tourists come to visit it during their stay in the city. However, years ago, it did not have the same name as it does right now.

Roberto Lango, director and founder of Tijuanidad spoke about this avenue. He said that its original name was “Calle Olvera”, but this wasn't the only name that it had. It was later named “Calle A”, and then it was called “Calle Libertad”.

Later, it was called “Calle Obregón” and it wasn't until 1932 that it was named “Avenida Revolución”. While in Mexico and in the rest of the world, a lot of things were happening such as the invention of the camera, Ford's Model T, and even the Mexican Revolution, Tijuana continued welcoming tourists.

Tourists didn't care about this, which is why in their photos they used sombreros, serapes, and even guns to pose, as it made them look as if they were part of a historic movement as "if they were bandits". Though back then Tijuana was very small, it began to grow with this avenue as a downtown zone, which later became the most important one in the city.
