The most important geek convention of the year has begun and like in previous editions, badges and tickets sold out quickly. This is why, here we show you 7 side events of this convention where you don’t need any admission tickets, so that you can enjoy Comic-Con in all of its glory.

Comic-Con Museum

For obvious reasons we cannot ignore the museum, which is an extension of the convention with incredible art, temporary exhibitions, activities, and even projections. It has an endless number of wonders for geek fans without the need for a ticket. Before the event, new exhibitions opened: one is about the art of My Hero Academia and another one is about the life and legacy of Marvel Comics creator, Stan Lee. Petco Park Interactive Zone

If you want to enjoy Comic-Con without all the noise and in a smaller area, this place is ideal for you. There will be several pop-up stands that will offer several experiences for all ages such as the cute Hello Kitty Café Truck with exclusive merchandise, delicious desserts, or ‘Attack of the Metallic Menace’, an immersive experience that warns about the dangers of vaping based on movies such as Godzilla. This will open on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and on Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Landford Lunch Box

This restaurant known for the classic show “Roseanne” will come to San Diego at Gaslamp District where attendants will be able to enjoy a good meal and even witness a recreation of this show. The last day it will open will be on Friday, July 21 from 10 AM to 6 PM. It will be located between Streets 6 and E.

46th Blood Drive at San Diego Comic-Con 2022

Though this convention is about fans and having fun, it is also about campaigns for a good cause. For example, attendants can become heroes by donating blood and this will take place at Manchester Grand Hyatt. Donors will receive a limited-edition shirt of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. They’ve been receiving donations since Wednesday and this drive will continue until Saturday, July 22 from 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday, July 23 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. The Anne Rice Immortal Experience

Fans of Rice’s work will be able to explore this immersive attraction based on “Interview with the Vampire” and “The Mayfair Witches” where attendants will tour the “Street of Immortality” inspired by New Orleans and Anne’s iconic books. Though admission is free, reservations have run out, but there will be a waiting line available at this event from 11 AM to 7 PM on Friday 21 and Saturday 22.

Step into Jurassic Park

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of this movie, this immersive experience will help you explore this prehistoric world in 2023. This will take place at Luce Cielo in Gaslamp Quarter on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 from 10 AM to 8 PM. This is a free event whose reservations have run out, but there will be a waiting line.

FX is coming to the Hilton Bayfront Park grass area with unforgettable experiences from the worlds of their most famous shows. Attendants will travel to the Edo period in Japan in "Shōgun", enter a clinic inspired by “American Horror Story”, and discover a mysterious murder in “Murder at the End of the World”. These are the times and dates:

  • Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 from 11 AM to 6 PM
  • Sunday, July 23 from 11 AM to 4 PM
