Baja Californian Governor, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, reaffirmed her commitment to collaborate with the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, during the inauguration of the new Banco del Bienestar branch in Mexicali. Accompanied by the head of the National Commission of Aquaculture and Fishing (CONAPESCA), Octavio Almada Palafox, Marina del Pilar highlighted the intention by President López Obrador of integrating and writing in social aid in the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States so that no interests can take it away from the people of Mexico.

The state governor emphasized that Baja California has 23 Banco del Bienestar branches currently in operation, where beneficiaries of social programs from the government of Mexico can go to receive their aid at the proper time, as it is a public institution with social vocation.
