Montserrat Caballero and Marina del Pilar join efforts at cleaning campaign for a cleaner and more sustainable city

They are boosting an intense cleaning campaign in Tijuana in order to promote a positive environmental impact

Mayor Montserrat Caballero led a huge cleaning campaign alongside Baja Californian governor Marina del Pilar, who joined efforts with her in order to guarantee a more sustainable city, with less garbage in the streets and restored spaces.

Both heads of government worked together for the wellbeing of families at Fraccionamiento Urbi Villas del Prado, with the goal of consolidating a cleaner and safer city.

This Saturday morning, the 24th Municipal Administration of Tijuana and the State Government of Baja California joined forces, alongside the eastern community with dozens of neighbors and young students, to clean and recover spaces in one of the city’s most vulnerable neighborhoods.

There the mayor of Tijuana highlighted the coordination that exists between both governments to move forward regarding the city’s issues and, because their agendas matched, they decided to come together for this campaign.

“That people see us working together… and today we are honored by her presence here in one of the neighborhoods that need the most help as we clean together, because together we have achieved several projects,” stated Caballero Ramírez.

For her part, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda recognized all the people who are working for a Tijuana for everyone and with their heart above all, and stated that they will continue on this path "together with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who loves Baja California, and Tijuana, and who has given his support to the mayor and myself to continue providing wellbeing to families.”

During this cleaning campaign at Urbi Villas del Prado, the mayor and the governor were accompanied by the Secretary of the Municipal Government, Miguel Ángel Bujanda Ruiz; the Secretary of Municipal Wellbeing, Gerardo López Montes; the Secretary of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development, Juan Enrique Bautista Corona; the Official Mayor of the Municipal Administration, Marcelo de Jesús Machain Servín, and councilor José Refugio Cañada.
