During the Corazón por Delante campaign event which took place at Colonia Praderas in La Mesa, in the city of Tijuana, Governor Marina del Pilar, alongside outstanding Baja Californian athletes, highlighted the value and efforts that these sportspeople make to represent the state.

Marina del Pilar recognized the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture (INDEBC) and its head, Erik Morales Elvira, for the work they have carried out to strengthen the skills of the state’s athletes who, by representing Baja California in national and international competitions, have become an example for the youth of the region by making their dreams a reality and by getting results by working hard and with passion.

During the event, Governor Marina del Pilar acknowledged the outstanding athletes of Baja California such as Diego Camacho, Alan Rodríguez, and Jairo Zamora, who have achieved important results, which is why she recognized the work and results obtained in the state during the direction of Morales Elvira as the head of this institution.

Members of her cabinet attended this event, who directly provided assistance to families by listening and registering firsthand the issues that concern the community, carrying out an institutional strategy to resolve them in coordination with neighbors.

"We are now using resources honestly and efficiently so that they can reach more people. We are now investing in public projects, we now have credits for women so that they can create their businesses, we now have credits for entrepreneurs, we now have resources so that families can improve their homes, we now have resources that we are using to benefit people,” she said.

Governor Marina del Pilar reaffirmed her administration’s intention to be permanently close to people and especially those who need solidarity from authorities, as has been instructed and promoted by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who has built alongside the state administration a social policy that increasingly has reached more homes through aid, such as the one that is given to seniors who are 60 years old, young students, and people with disabilities.

On the other hand, the state governor highlighted the presence of the members of her cabinet and spoke about the actions carried out by the Secretariat for the Management, Sanitation, and Protection of Water (SEPROA) of Baja California in which they invested more than 3 billion pesos in programs to resolve the water supply issue in the four municipalities of the Ocean Pacific coastline.

She also spoke about the 1.4 billion pesos that are being invested to strengthen road infrastructure in Tijuana and the almost 1,300 kids that are receiving hot breakfasts in school every day, part of the Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento program, one of the administration’s most important projects.

The Secretary of Wellbeing of Baja California, Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán, underscored that in the Corazón por Delante campaign, the following aid, among many others, was delivered: Violet Cards, which is a comprehensive program to assist vulnerable Baja Californian women who are also heads of their homes; the Ilumina Tu Día card that supports the payment of electricity; and the Con el Corazón para el Agua card that provides economic exemptions for families when paying for their water supply, especially during summer when this consumption increases naturally.

It should be noted that at this event the Mobile Health Units from the Secretariat of Health were present, who provide free assistance to neighborhoods, not only through consultations, X-rays, and lab studies, but also provide cataract surgery and follow up in case it is necessary regarding several diseases in Baja Californian health centers. This is part of the administration’s commitment to provide health and wellbeing to all of the regions of the state, without any sort of discrimination.

At this campaign the following people were present: delegate for Wellbeing Programs in Baja California, Jesús Alejandro Ruiz Uribe; Congress representative, Evangelina Moreno; Jesús Alcaraz, beneficiary of the Casa Fuerte program; congresswoman of the 24th legislative body of the Baja Californian Congress, Gloria Miramontes; beneficiary of the Violet Card, Cindy Urrea; as well as the students benefited from the program to strengthen technological tools, Ximena Ríos, Brissia Nevarez, and Martín Flores.
