Carolina Méndez, an engineering student in Electronics and Telecommunications at Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana (ITT), has been chosen to participate in the International Air & Space Program (IASP) at NASA facilities in Huntsville, Alabama.

This educational program, organized by the Association of Air and Space Explorers (AEXA), will allow Carolina to work with engineers and experts at NASA in aerospace projects.

However, Carolina needs money to attend this program and has asked for help on social media. "I ask for your help to raise funds to finance my trip, which needs to be completely paid for in September of this year,” Carolina said on a Facebook post.

Carolina not only wants to achieve her dream of participating in a NASA program, but she also wants to inspire other women to choose STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers. "Not only my dreams, but the dreams of other women in STEM are traveling with me,” she said.
