Bulevar Cuauhtémoc Sur in Tijuana is completely reopened

The Municipal Administration of Tijuana intensified cleaning work to restore the closed lanes

The Municipal Administration of Tijuana announced the reopening of the 4 lanes at Cuauhtémoc Sur Boulevard after completing work to remove rubble caused by the building collapse at Fraccionamiento de La Sierra.

Due to instructions by mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez and after the second building collapsed at Fraccionamiento La Sierra, municipal administration personnel intensified cleaning work this Sunday.

Staff from the Secretariat of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development of Tijuana (SDTUA), as well as the Downtown Municipal Delegation, used several machinery equipment to handle heavy material and clear the area, always prioritizing the safety of Tijuana natives who travel through this area.

Once this task was finished, the mayor instructed the complete reopening of the road, benefiting both the community and the traffic in the area.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Civil Protection Agency will continue monitoring the movement of the mountainside at Fraccionamiento La Sierra and permanently assessing the land for future decision making.

It should be noted that during this cleaning work, belongings of the residents affected by this landslide were recovered; these objects will be transferred over to the Downtown Municipal Delegation so that, starting on Monday, April 10, people can check and reclaim these objects.
