LEGOLAND California recreates the city of San Diego with 5 million Lego bricks

It is part of the Miniland USA exhibition

San Diego has amazing places that you can visit from Balboa Park to its unparalleled Third Avenue, and Petco Park which is the venue of an endless number of baseball games with the San Diego Padres baseball team.

LEGOLAND California paid tribute to this great city by recreating several of its locations with their classic Lego bricks. After several months of waiting, this incredible exhibition opened on Thursday, March 23, where one can appreciate the hard and detailed work carried out to create this “mini city.”

In this project, one can see 55 iconic reference points from San Diego, which include Petco Park, Hotel del Coronado, the Convention Center, and more. This incredible work was carried out by 70 Master Builders which used more than 5 million Lego bricks to recreate each building, a realistic 30-feet long beach, and around 4,000 “minilanders” which will inhabit the city.

It should be noted that San Diego is joining cities like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Las Vegas, which are all a part of the Miniland USA exhibition at LEGOLAND which commemorates the most famous and iconic constructions from each of these cities.
