Expo TlaquepArte, Mexico’s biggest international handicraft exhibition, is inaugurated in Rosarito

This Friday, Mexico’s biggest international handicraft exhibition “Expo TlaquepArte” was inaugurated at the Baja California Convention Center, located in the city of Playas de Rosarito.

The event opened at 10:30 AM and it will close at 8 PM, from March 17 to March 20. Exhibitors from several different Latin American countries such as Colombia, Peru, Cuba, Argentina, and Paraguay and countries such as Germany, Turkey, Russia, and India will be present, offering their handicraft items.

During the official inauguration act, the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez, was present as well as members of the Kumiai community in the city of Playas of Rosarito. They carried out a brief ceremony with traditional songs.

Among the most frequent products at this event, there are textile-based handicrafts. A great variety of clothes and accessories will be exhibited from several parts of the world and states of Mexico such as Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Hidalgo. From foreign exhibitors, traditional dresses from India are the highlight.

Regarding gastronomy, there is a variety of traditional Mexican and Latin American candies. From classic Argentinian caramelized milk to Colombian coke leaf caramels. From Mexico, Puebla native exhibitors offered a great variety of traditional mole with almonds.

Skin products, purses, jackets, wallets, and even home seats are some of the wonders that you will find at this exhibition during this long Mexican weekend. .925 silver products from Taxco were the highlight, as they are offered in different formats from jewelry to utensils.

Remember that admission to this event is completely free! So now you don’t have any excuses to miss this event where you will find more than 200 exhibitors from all over Mexico and 16 Latin American countries such as Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Guatemala, Argentina, and Cuba.
