You need to exchange some pesos for dollars in the next few days? We have good news for you: if you exchange your pesos today, the Mexican peso is at the best exchange rate it has been in 5 years. Currently, the dollar can be bought at $17.72 pesos in some exchange houses.

That’s right, Mexican currency is appreciating more every day, as a result of the speculation regarding the interest rate by the US Federal Reserve which has affected the dollar. According to news outlet Expansión, the current peso-dollar rate is the best since 2018.

On average, every dollar costs $18.01 pesos, however there are some exchange houses in the city of Tijuana where it can be found at $17.72; such is the case in the following picture at an exchange house in Agua Caliente Boulevard:

This is the value that the dollar has been given around 12:15 PM on Thursday, March 2 (right photo). However, you must remember that this can change at any time and it usually goes up, though the trend has been going downwards in the last few days.
