Travel through Tijuana, Ensenada, and San José del Cabo: Transpensinsular train route is revealed

Working hours for this train were also revealed

Railway lines in Mexico are not currently available everywhere. However, this will begin to change soon as a new project is underway whose goal is to create several railways across the country.

Among these projects, there is the Transpeninsular Train, a railway line that will cross the states of Baja California and Baja California Sur through several municipalities, from Tijuana to San José del Cabo.

Federal representative Alfredo Porras Domínguez shared some information about this train such as its exact route and the spots this train will travel through with departures every 30 minutes. He claimed that all possible passengers will be able to enjoy this train. The 11 stations of this train will be:

  • Estación Tijuana
  • Estación Ensenada
  • Estación San Pedro Mártir
  • Estación Bahía de Los Ángeles
  • Estación Guerrero Negro
  • Estación Santa Rosalía
  • Estación Ciudad Constitución
  • Estación La Paz
  • Estación Todos Santos
  • Estación Cabo San Lucas
  • Estación San José del Cabo

It should be noted that it is estimated that the trains will carry around 25,000 passengers every day from 6 AM to 11 PM; this will give it a time slot for maintenance, as it is a high-speed train.

This project could connect with the Pacific Train, a railway line that will go from Tijuana to Chiapas, which is one of the several railway projects being carried throughout the country. By connecting them, a direct line will be created from La Paz to Chiapas. It should be noted that actor and politician Damián Alcázar has also proposed creating a train in Baja California so that more people discover the state.
