Marina del Pilar provides services for the families of Tecate

Senior patients were registered in the free cataract surgery program

Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, toured Colonia Luis Donaldo Colosio, located in southern Tecate, where she had direct contact with the community in order to bring attention to their needs.

The state governor was received by several different families in their homes, where she listened to people’s requests and reaffirmed her commitment to carry out actions so that all families live better.

Marina del Pilar provided residents with several different services such as the Mobile Health Centers which will remain until Sunday, February 5 to provide consultations and free tests for people who need it.

In addition, and accompanied by the Secretary of Health of Baja California, José Adrián Medina Amarillas, Marina del Pilar invited seniors of the community to register in the free cataract surgery program whose goal is give vision back to people with this condition.

The state governor also supervised the enrollment process of several different social programs that the state administration offers to support vulnerable people, such as seniors, people with disabilities, and women heads of family who are given Violet Cards.

The Secretary of Wellbeing of Baja California, Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán, pointed out that several tours are carried out to make sure that registered people receive their benefits so that they can directly see improvements in their quality of life.

In addition, Marina del Pilar explained that several actions are being carried out in regards to infrastructure, especially in paving and restoring roads, focusing mainly in neighborhoods that had been mostly abandoned.

As such, the Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, explained that in 2022, 50 million pesos were invested to restore roads in Tecate, which will be added up to the 45 million which will be allocated in 2023.
