Few videos from space are able to capture Earth well, however, right now on social media a very detailed video with a clear view of the Baja California peninsula and Mar de Cortés from space has been widely shared.

That’s right! A Russian astronaut made a video that was shared by the account of Oleg M., a digital creator and cosmonaut. The video was shared with the following text, originally in Russian and then translated to English:

The Gulf of California, also known as Mar de Cortés, is a marginal sea of the Pacific Ocean that separates the Baja California Peninsula from the Mexican mainland.

It should be noted that this video begins with a view of the gulf of Baja California and Mar de Cortés and then it zooms in along the surroundings. It ends with an impressive view of this area. All of these views come from a window, as one can see in the video.
