Today, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the Municipal Police of Tijuana seized 30 pounds of crystal meth that were attempting to cross into the United States through a blind mule.

This incident occurred at the level of Vía Rápida Oriente and Manuel Márquez de León Avenue, at the Tijuana River urban zone, when municipal police officers followed up on a report made to the 911 emergency line.

Once municipal officers arrived at the scene, they found the person who had made the report who told them that an unidentified man had approached her to ask her to pull over to take some bags with drugs that were in her vehicle’s trunk. Once the woman heard this, she turned on her car, sped away, and asked for help.

Once police officers heard this, they inspected the woman’s car and found in her trunk three black bags, usually used to store trash, which were filled with several packages of a white substance.

30 packages were counted inside her vehicle, which had a substance with similar characteristics to methamphetamines, also known as crystal meth.

These 30 packages weighed a total of 30 pounds, which were seized by the municipal police and sent over to the proper authorities.
