Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, led an event to celebrate the Day of the Police Officer where 500 agents were the highlight of the work carried out every day in favor of families’ safety. She also confirmed the delivery of economic aid provided by the Secretariat of the Economy of Baja California to all agents that are part of the Citizen Security State Forces (FESC) as a thanks for their work.
In presence of the Secretary of Citizen Security of Baja California, General Leopoldo Tizoc Aguilar Durán, the state governor expressed her respect and admiration of the commitment, professionalism, work, and courage of police officers of the state’s different organizations.
In her speech, Marina del Pilar recognized the memory of officers who died while on duty, pointing out that their loved ones have the full support from the state government to address their needs.
“Be certain that we are on the right path, and that you will never be alone. It is the opposite, we will continue to be a team, each day closer, so that the dedication and courage that you share with us is fully recognized, as you deserve it for offering and risking your lives to build a better Baja California,” Marina del Pilar said.
As such, the governor highlighted that the work by police officers builds the deep pillars of peace and justice, which is why they are all working to deal with the lack that police officers have had in the last few decades, so that they can all be at the level of the effort and dedication of these different organizations.
At this event, the following people were present: Mexicali mayor, Norma Alicia Bustamante Martínez; Second Military Zone commander, Ulises Orduña Campos; Second Naval Region commander, Luis Javier Robinson Portillo Villanueva; National Guard Coordinator in Baja California, Jorge Enrique Martínez Medina; Public Security Director of Mexicali, Pedro Ariel Mendívil, among others.
