Children and teenagers at Mexicali’s Temporary Shelter as well as several different children’s homes will have a smile on their faces this Christmas thanks to donations by Colegio Anglo Americano de Nuestra Señora de la Paz, as they donated more than 500 toys.

DIF Baja California president, Mavis Olmeda García, pointed out that, for children, it is important to receive gifts, especially during this holiday season, which is why she thanked the willingness by the General Director of this school, Yvette Padilla Escalante, to help them. This way they can make sure that children receive a gift on Christmas.

543 gifts in total were gathered by the students of this school who, due to the fact that is Christmas, poured their heart into helping the children’s homes in the community and the two temporary shelters of the state DIF.

“During this holiday season where love and solidarity overwhelm us, our friends at Colegio Anglo Americano de Nuestra Señora de la Paz, have given love to our children and teenagers, so that on this Christmas they have their hope for a better future strengthened. And be certain, we are working hard and with our heart above all,” Olmeda García said.

For her part, the general director of this institute was grateful due to the opportunity to give a little bit of blessings as life has allowed her to have and reaffirmed her commitment with DIF Baja California to support those who need it the most.

“Our hearts are filled with joy as we are able to contribute with society and our children through donations, because they are the present and the future, and it depends on all of us that our future is prosperous for everyone,” Yvette Padilla Escalante stated.
