In late November, Chuck E. Cheese in Guadalajara opened its second branch and considering that in Tijuana there use to be a branch some years ago, and the rumors that are circulating in entertainment outlets like the Tijuana Times, we must ask ourselves: will Chuck E. Cheese really open in Tijuana?
San Diego Red spoke with the chain owners in Mexico and the truth is that though they didn’t 100% confirmed anything, news are quite encouraging. According to what’s been revealed, “the most likely thing is that it does happen”, but not through the Mexican part of the franchise.
This implies that the franchise related to this branch will be the American one. This is good news, considering that since Peter Piper Pizza closed its doors, there has been no children’s restaurant with a similar concept.
On the other hand, a spokesman for the company in the United States said that Chuck E. Cheese plans to continue its promotion of international expansion and one of its main objectives is to reach 100 global locations in 2023.
So now you know, Chuck E. Cheese may be back in Tijuana a lot sooner than you think.
