One of Tijuana residents, tourists, and American citizens’ greatest agonies is the long waiting lines to cross from Tijuana into the United States, especially because, for most of the day, one has to be in line for at least 1 ½ hours at the port of entry.

That is why, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shares average waiting times at the border. On November 30, for example, around noon (12 PM), the estimated waiting time was 2 hours.

According to statistics, it was revealed that the ideal time of day to get into the United States today is considered to be 10 PM. Those who wish to cross will only be in line for 29 minutes, which is a big difference when compared to the 120 minutes one has to wait for when traffic is heavy or at its peak at the border.

This graph also shows that starting at 8 PM, waiting times will begin to decrease to 40 minutes. It should be noted that sometimes these times can be affected by situations that may arise such as how many cars there are at that moment, which is why we recommend checking the current state of the border line before crossing.
