One of the most beloved and popular attractions in Disneyland will be refurbished after many years of being many visitors’ favorite ride. We are talking about the Haunted Mansion which will be refurbished with a new and exciting theme.

The theme chosen for this classic attraction will be an anime theme, an update that comes directly from Disneyland in Tokyo. According to the park’s creative team, this new initiative being carried out is called Disney Story Board.

This initiative has as a goal to create new themes to update some of their rides. The anime-themed Haunted Mansion will include the extended history of Constance Hatchaway, who interacts with butlers Z.J and Javier.

Constance Hatchaway, known as The Black Widow Bride, is one of the characters that has appeared in Disneyland California and Walt Disney World in Florida since 2006. It has also been revealed that there will be a new ghost called The Withering Gentleman.

The good news, for those who don’t like this change, is that this change of theme will not affect the ride itself as we know it. What is true, however, is that the characters’ histories will be more interactive and there will be new filters.

It is estimated that this new theme will be available in March 2023, which is sooner than we expected.
