Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, governor of Baja California, held a meeting with Nuño Lara, head of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) in order to address infrastructure projects whose goals are to benefit people.
The state governor thanked the federal official for opening the doors to the state government and for being willing to undertake, alongside the state administration, projects with joint investments and planning.
In addition, she reinforced the commitment of state authorities in supporting the Government of Mexico regarding the large-scale infrastructure projects being undertaken in Baja California, the main one being the Otay II Port of Entry which will represent a great benefit for the binational region.
At the meeting, the Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign of Baja California, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, was present and he showed the governor and secretary Nuño Lara the state projects.
Marina del Pilar pointed out that each of the projects being developed in the state and federation are meant to improve the lives of Baja Californians, with better roads and coexistence spaces for present and future generations.
For his part, the head of SICT stated that the meeting with Governor Marina del Pilar presented a great opportunity to review thoroughly the projects and benefits of each of them, reaffirming that the state and federation will continue to work in coordination in this area.
