Assemblymember David Álvarez of California's 80th State Assembly district, supported by councilmember, Vivian Moreno, is organizing the delivery of turkeys at the Community Center of Sherman Heights on Monday, November 21, in order to benefit 200 families for the holidays.
That’s not all however, as families will also receive side dishes for a complete Thanksgiving dinner, which are being provided by food bank ‘Jacobs Cushman San Diego’, donated by institutions such as California-American Water, AT&T, Cox Communications, and LIUNA Local 89.
David Álvarez has also visited other areas in November such as Norman Senior Park and Central Elementary in National City in order to deliver turkeys.
California's 80th State Assembly district is comprised of the communities of Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, Sherman Heights, City Heights, Azalea Park, Otay Mesa, and San Ysidro, as well as the cities of Chula Vista, National City, and Bonita.
This is not the only thing David Álvarez has done for District 80, as education is very important for this politician. One of his main proposals, which he is currently campaigning for, is to look for financing to create a university in Chula Vista.
