Two restaurants in San Diego were recently added to the Michelin Guide for restaurants in California. This will be made official on the December 2022 edition where restaurants Kingfisher and Valle will appear on the list.

The first restaurant Kingfisher is located at 2469 Broadway in Golden Hill and it is a combination of Vietnamese and French cuisine. According to its official website, their goal is to provide an exciting balance of the soulful and intricate flavors of traditional Vietnamese dishes and ingredients.

This restaurant opens every day, except Tuesday, from 5 PM to 11 PM. According to Yelp, its most popular dishes are the Beef Tartare, the Smoked Dry Aged Duck, and the Crispy Chicken Wings.

On the other hand, the restaurant Valle, whose name is a direct reference to Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California, has also been added to the Michelin Guide list. Valle was founded by Roberto Alcocer, creator of restaurant Malva, a delicious restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe.

However, Valle, unlike Malva, is a rustic outdoors restaurant that will offer you a different experience. It is more formal and has a spacious bar, dining area, and a patio with a view of the Pacific Ocean and the Oceanside Pier.

It should be noted that if you love wine, you will find a variety of wines from their own winery, Bodega Era. It should also be noted that Alcocer’s goal is to bring the Valle de Guadalupe experience to San Diego and, with this new distinction, his success is quite clear.
