Second phase of Boulevard García public project finalized by Marina del Pilar administration

By finishing this project, it is expected that traffic in the southern and eastern areas of the city improves considerably

More than 100,000 residents will be benefited thanks to an infrastructure project carried out by the state government led by Governor Marina del Pilar, in collaboration with the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign.

The state official recalled that last August 4, Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda oversaw the progress of the road construction and committed to expediting the project in order to benefit Tijuana natives.

Espinoza Jaramillo highlighted the importance of the road that connects Corredor 2000 with residential neighborhood URBI Villa del Prado. This finished road work is also part of another one finished in November 2022, concluding the first part of two lanes that are 3,1 km long.

He explained that the work of the second stage consisted of paving a kilometer of road with MR 45 hydraulic concrete with 20 centimeters of thickness and 10,5 meters of width, creating two hard shoulders and vertical and horizontal signs.

Lastly, the head of SIDURT recommended that people should be careful when using the road and respect traffic signs. He also thanked people’s understanding during the entire construction process of this project.
