In the midst of a crisis, man tries to commit suicide at San Ysidro Port of Entry

Man denied entry to the US at the San Ysidro border crossing stabs himself on the neck

On Wednesday evening, August 24 2022, Tijuana municipal police officers responded to a call to the International San Ysidro port of entry due to a man who was in the midst of a crisis while carrying a knife. He was treated by paramedics who arrived at the border crossing in an ambulance.

According to TJ Comunica, this person wanted to enter the US on a vehicle. Obviously, he was unable to do so which is why he threatened to kill himself. He even started to harm his own neck with his knife.

Firefighters arrived and helped him control the cuts he himself had made. In addition, it was revealed that this person had been deported and did not have the paperwork to legally enter the United States.

The man, whose identity has not been revealed, is around 45 years old. According to the same source, the man was like this because his partner had cheated on him. It is not known whether his partner lives in the US.

It was also revealed that he is currently being psychologically evaluated after this mental crisis.
