Waiting times to enter the United States from Tijuana are very uncertain due to the number of people and cars. Though it does depend on the date and time of day somebody decides to cross, on Monday August 22, a greater number of people were reported trying to get into the US. Users claimed that there are currently three pedestrian lines at the port of entry.

In one of the Facebook groups that report on the current state of the border crossing line, users have shared that at the pedestrian San Ysidro border crossing, three lines have been created due to the number of people that want to enter the United States.

This is happening one day after the Baja Beach Fest event where several urban genre artists performed at Playas de Rosarito alongside hundreds of attendants who came to enjoy the show from both sides of the border.

It should be noted that even though there are long lines, users claim that they are moving quite quickly. This is contrast with the vehicular crossing line, which has been reported to reach all the way to Tijuana’s Cultural Center (CECUT) and is moving quite slowly. It is taking so long that some people have decided to enter the US through the Otay border crossing instead.
