Baja Californian Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda has an indisputable high approval rating. Several pollsters such as Mitofsky and Massive Caller reveal, month after month, that Marina del Pilar is one of the Mexican governors with the highest approval ratings.
On this occasion, Demoscopia Digital has published approval ratings for the month of July, revealing that Marina del Pilar is the second best rated governor in all of Mexico with a high approval rating of 65.3%. It should be noted that she is only .6 points below the first place obtained by PAN governor, Mauricio Vila Dosal, Governor of Yucatán.
This is remarkable since Marina del Pilar was above Head of Government Claudia Sheinbaum, who was ranked #6 in approval ratings. She was also rated higher than MORENA governors Layda Sansores (Campeche), Alfonso Durazo (Sonora), and PRI governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme (Coahuila).
Regarding the question: “Right now, do you approve or disapprove of Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda’s administration?", 65.3% said that they approve, 22.1% stated that they disapprove, and 12.6% said that they “don’t know.”
On the other hand, when asked what were the biggest issues in Baja California, the most popular answers were security at 49.6%, public works at 19.2%, and economic development at 17.4%.
It should be noted that according to Demoscopia Digital, the poll was carried out through a statistic analysis directly applied to the public on WhatsApp Messenger. It was conducted and meant for Baja Californian residents over 18 years of age from all socioeconomic levels in the state.
