Baja Californian wine has become a key element both for tourists and residents, since it represents a great percentage of sales and even exports. These products have become famous worldwide thanks to several awards won in competitions.
On this occasion, the Valle de Guadalupe region is now part of a new competition to win first place as “Best Wine Region” according to USA Today: 10 Best Readers’ Choice 2022. Currently, it is competing for first place against several wine areas in the US and Cnada such as Sonoma County, Finger Lakes, Okanagan Valley, and more.
With voting still underway, Valle de Guadalupe is currently ranked fourth place, with first place being Walla Walla Valley in Washington; second place, Temecula Valley in California, and third place, just above the Ensenada area, Paso Robles, California.

Voting for the 10 best places will end on July 18 at noon and winners will be announced on Friday, July 29, which means there is little time left to rank Valle de Guadalupe first place on this list.
