It is no surprise to a lot of Baja Californians that the charisma and proposals of current Baja Californian governor result in an increase in approval ratings every month for Marina del Pilar. Last April was no exception.

Thanks to some projects such as the Violet Card, whose goal is to ensure the welfare of all families by giving mothers everything they need for their families, Ávila Olmeda has won the approval of most Baja Californians.

Pollster Mitofsky revealed that Marina del Pilar is one of the few governors whose approval rating is increasing. In both February and March, she had an approval rating of 59.2%, a considerable number.

This changed in April when her approval rating ended up being 60.2%, putting her fourth when compared to all of Mexico’s governors and very close to Coahuila’s governor who has a 64.9% approval rating.

Coahuila’s governor dropped one percentage point between March and April, and something similar happened to Yucatan’s governor, Mauricio Vila, who dropped 2 points. In total, 16 governors had lower approval ratings, some stayed the same, and some, like Marina del Pilar, had higher ratings.

It should be noted that of all female governors in the country, Marina del Pilar is the one with the highest approval rating. In the Mitofsky poll, Marina del Pilar was first place in approval ratings; Lorena Cuéllar (Tlaxcala) was second place; Claudia Sheinbaum (Mexico City) was third place; Evelyn Salgado was fourth place, and María Eugenia Campos (Chihuahua) was fifth place.

The poll has classified the first places as “outstanding”, while the lowest approval ratings are shared between Colima’s governor with 40% and David Monreal Ávila who has a 22.4% approval rating.
