It seems like winter weather hasn’t left completely. This is confirmed by rain occurring in the late afternoon of Monday, March 28th, and the early morning of Tuesday, March 29th, which came along with strong winds and low temperatures. These don’t seem to be saying goodbye anytime soon for snow has also come to the region; an announcement has been made regarding sleet and snowfall in Baja Californian mountains.

Baja California’s Civil Protection along with the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) were the institutions that made the announcement on their Facebook page, where they published that the first snowfall of the week occurred in Sierra de San Pedro Mártir. The announcement stated that this weather condition will remain all night long and it is possible that it arrives in the La Rumorosa mountain range.

The hours of the sleet or snowfall is projected to be between 09:00 PM to 00:00 AM this Tuesday, March 29. These areas are known for this type of meteorological conditions during winter, which is why a lot of visitors visit them to enjoy a little bit of snow.

Moreover, through their webpage live camera located in Sierra de San Pedro Mártir one can appreciate the snow in the area:

It should be noted that not all weather conditions are the same and snowfalls can be dangerous in freeways, which is why it is important to be aware of Caminos y Puentes Federales (Federal Roads and Bridges) announcements in case any roads are closed due to ice on the roads in areas such as La Rumorosa.
