Homicides in Tijuana are increasing; security will be strengthened, it is claimed

The Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection will increase security especially in the city's conflictive areas

After a violent weekend in Tijuana, the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection revealed that security will be increased, especially in conflictive areas of the city.

During Baja Californian Governor’s, Marina del Pilar, morning press conference it was revealed that in the last few months crime has been decreasing in certain areas, but they claimed that there is still much work to do, with insecurity still being quite pronounced in the state.

The Secretary of Citizen Security of Baja California, Gilberto Landeros stated that a notable decrease in crime has been achieved regarding burglary and car theft. He accepted that there has been an increase in homicides, which is why the agency has been working to strengthen security to prevent crime rates from going upwards.

It was revealed that this work will be done in cooperation with SEDENA, the army, and the National Guard in order to apply more precise actions so that crime rates can gradually decrease.
