Massive Covid-19 vaccination campaigns are still ongoing in Baja California. Most likely Covid-19 booster shots for those over 18 years old will be available this week, stated Baja California Governor, Marina del Pilar.
“We are going to continue our vaccination campaigns. I want to share with you that vaccines for people between 18 and 29 years old have been authorized so these people will be able to go to the vaccination sites,” she explained.
Additionally, she stated that she hopes that health authorities will share soon when booster shots will be available for this age group, as well as where the vaccination sites will be set up in all municipalities.
It should be noted that this age group was immunized in June 2021 with the single dose Johnson & Johnson. This means that 8 months have passed since these shots were given and other countries are recommending that one should get a booster shot two months after being vaccinated.
The Governor emphasized that this would mean that all ages will receive their booster shots and she invited people to keep following health measures to prevent infections and keep Baja California under the green traffic light.
