Baja California has a limited number of beds available to care for Covid-19 patients

There are 6,512 current cases in Baja California as of Thursday's cutoff

Despite the fact that 1,247 new cases were reported in Baja California in just one day, active cases accumulated by Covid-19 have been declining.

According to the Ministry of Health, there are 6,512 active cases in Baja California as of Thursday's court date, with 2,535 in Tijuana, 2,229 in Mexicali, and 1,176 in the port of Ensenada, making these the three localities that give the pandemic vigor in this fourth wave of illnesses.

Because of the increase in infections, hospital occupancy has remained stable, with general hospital demand at 92 percent. Only 176 of the state's 190 general beds for covid patients are filled, and 95 of those are intubated.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, Baja California has recorded a total of 116,375 COVID-19 cases, including 11,330 sad fatalities.

The unit emphasized the importance of maintaining prevention measures such as mandatory use of face masks in public spaces (preferably three-layer or KN95), constant hand washing, use of 70% antibacterial gel, social distancing, and ventilation of enclosed spaces to the greatest extent feasible.
