Marina del Pilar vila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, gave birth to her second child, the first boy of the family she formed with former congressman Carlos Torres.

The infant was delivered at 11 p.m. on Friday.

The natural birth took place in the same hospital where she gave birth to her first daughter, in Brawley, Imperial County, California, some 55 kilometers north of Mexicali.

According to a media source, the infant weighed 4 kilograms and measured 50.8 centimeters. Both the mother and the son are healthy.

She told him a few days earlier during one of her morning talks that he would continue with the things on his calendar and not take the 40 postpartum days he is entitled to.
