Baja California Civil Protection issued a statement stating that the forecast foresees the arrival of three phenomena in the region, including rain, cold temperatures, and the possibility of snow or sleet.

First and foremost, a rise in rainfall along the coast and winds and cold temperatures in high and mountain locations is expected to begin this afternoon, Monday, December 27, and last all day tomorrow, Tuesday, December 28. These predictions also call for frost, sleet, and even snow in certain regions.

Given the forecasted weather conditions for the next several days, Civil Protection has issued a series of warnings to the people of Baja California.

-Pay attention to the weather forecasts.
-Warm clothes should be available.
-To ease traffic congestion on the Tijuana-Mexicali freeway and highway, postpone non-essential travels.
-Finally, avoid going to regions where there is snow.

According to the National Weather Service, today's chance of rain in Tijuana and San Diego is 80 percent, increasing to 90 percent at night. A winter storm is also anticipated in the North American zone, with snow and sleet probable and cold temperatures.
