On December 16, Governor of Baja California Marina del Pilar vila Olmeda attended a combined session of the National Public Security Council and the National Civil Protection Council in Villahermosa, Tabasco, to protest in both essential organs for the creation of well-being and Mexico.
In addition, the president attended the 61st session of the National Conference of Governors (CONAGO), where fundamental issues of coordination between the Mexican government and various entities were discussed, with a particular focus on Baja California in multiple areas, such as public safety strategies.
The president emphasized the progress made in terms of public safety, as well as the coordination plans that have been developed to achieve peace in the streets of Baja California through specific activities of federal forces that, beginning in 2022, will collaborate with the Baja California Secretariat for Security and Citizen Protection and the entity's municipal corporations.
The first head of the Executive Power of Baja California recalled that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador recently supported the State's security strategy, which included the creation of the Secretariat, and reiterated that it is a model similar to that used by the Government of México so that joint efforts can produce better results in urban and rural communities, particularly in areas identified as having a high incidence of crime.
One of the main topics discussed on Thursday is civil protection, which is critical for Baja California because it is a seismic zone and where effective plans are needed to deal with weather contingencies while protecting the lives and heritage of residents of the state's cities and rural communities.
Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda also participated in a dialogue with other governors and governors, as well as the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheimbaum Pardo, about the increase in the pension granted to people with disabilities, one of the actions with the most meaning and direct positive impact, among which the Fourth Transformation has been raised.
The Secretaries of the Interior, Adán Augusto López; National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval; Navy, José Rafael Ojeda Durán; Attorney General of the Republic, Alejandro Gertz Manera; Governors and Governors, and the Executive Secretary of the National Public Security System (SNSP), Leonel Cota Montao were all present at the National Public Security Council.
Finally, Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda expressed gratitude to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for his belief in creating unity among state leaders to reinforce efforts and spread the advantages of the Fourth Transformation across the country. Thursday, December 16, 2021
