The World 50, in collaboration with S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, recognized the 50 best restaurants in Latin America on Monday, November 22. There were four restaurants in Baja, California, two in the valley, and the rest of the Ensenada municipality.

This ranking of restaurants, according to The World 50 Best, "covered 12 nations and was generated by aggregating the votes of all prior editions, up to number one." Here are the four Baja California eateries that have made a name for themselves throughout Latin America:

Deckman en el Mogor – Valle de Guadalupe

Lugar: 98

This restaurant is located at Km. 85.5 San Antonio de Las Minas, 22766 Valle de Guadalupe, B.C. on the Ensenada-Tecate route. He recently finished ten years of service, which he celebrated with a five-course dinner. It has received several accolades from various publications, including the Gourmet Award for Best Regional Cuisine of Mexico 2019 from Travel & Leisure.

Laja – Ensenada

Laja, located at km 83, Tecate, Vivienda Popular, 22850 Ensenada, B.C., has become a popular breakfast and lunch spot. The atmosphere is rustic and laid-back, and the cuisine varies weekly to reflect the orchard and vineyards. Manzanilla – Ensenada

"Baja California is a blank canvas; the elements exist, the quality there, but not the gourmet heritage," says Chef Benito Molina. It isn't an old art form like Oaxaca's. This permits me to be on the lookout for my own identity all of the time," she says.

Corazón de Tierra – Valle de Guadalupe

Rancho San Marcos Toros Pintos S/N Km 88 +299 Francisco Zarco, 22750 El Porvenir is located. It's a venue that's been dubbed "unrivaled" by reviewers. Unfortunately, we must inform you that if you visited this location, it was the final time, as they have declared via social media that they will be permanently closed. When the restaurant was open, the wonderful roast rib enfrijoladas were one of the most popular meals.
