COVID-19: Baja California is the state with more accumulated active cases in Mexico

This is according to the colorimetric scale presented by the State Secretary of Health

During the COVID-19 update presented by the Secretary of Health of Baja California, Alonso Pérez Rico announced the current rates of this virus in our state, and which cases have been on the rise during the last weeks.

Thanks to this increase in active cases of COVID-19, Baja California is located as the state with the highest number of accumulated active cases in the whole country, this was shown according to a colorimetric scale where it is the entity with the darkest color in all of Mexico.

Regarding the scale of incidence of active cases per 100 thousand inhabitants are 2 municipalities that are within the Top 20, the first is Playas de Rosarito in the 13th place with a rate of 154.87 and the second is Tecate, which is in the 19th place with a rate of 134.16.

All Baja California municipalities have gained at least one new COVID-19 case according to the daily update; Mexicali with 163, Tijuana with 177, Ensenada with 72, San Quintin with 27, Tecate with 17, Rosarito with 16 and San Felipe with one. As the cases have been increasing Pérez Rico continues to urge the population to continue with the stipulated health measures.
