The Mayor of Tijuana, Karla Ruiz Macfarland, is known for maintaining excellent relations with the authorities of the border city of San Diego, she has been seen chatting on several occasions, either via Zoom or at events with Mayor Todd Gloria, who during the presentation of the Garita Otay II project highlighted the work of the mayor.
It is worth mentioning that under the mandate of Ruiz Macfarland, the municipality has reported 180% of national and foreign investments. These numbers are positive and thanks to the work exercised by this administration, which among several things granted equipment to the Tijuana Tourist Police, due to its relevance, as they provide assistance to international visitors, mostly from the United States.
Likewise, the administration of Karla Ruiz has coordinated with the Tourism and Convention Committee of Tijuana (Cotuco) to carry out several events, among which stands out the one presented on Avenida Revolucion, "Expo Turismo Tijuana and the Mega Region". This event was intended to promote the most important and outstanding tourist attractions of Tijuana and the Baja California region.
In addition to the above, on August 27th, the first part of a project focused on the rehabilitation and renovation of the Malecon of Playas de Tijuana was inaugurated, with the purpose of improving the economy of the area and making it more attractive to tourists. As part of the initiative, an artistic lighting project will be installed in the Arcos area to make the night view more attractive, in addition to incorporating green areas.
Likewise, the " Downtown Museum Circuit" was presented, a group of five places that have the history and development of the city of Tijuana as a common theme. These museums are the Wax Museum; Muhti; 1889 TJ; Mucoti and Mullme; and the Tijuana History Museum.
These are just some of the actions to make the city of Tijuana more attractive in order to bring tourism to the region.
