Mayor Karla Ruiz works to provide more employment opportunities for Tijuana residents

Mayor of Tijuana is doing her best to provide job opportunities to Tijuana citizens

The Mayor of Tijuana, Karla Ruiz Macfarland, is committed with the citizens of Tijuana to offer them job opportunities, and thus continue with the excellent results that have been obtained in recent months, since the city was recently recognized as the one with the lowest unemployment rate in all of Mexico.

Likewise, according to what was informed in a press release from the Tijuana City Hall, published last week, it is very important for the Mayor to attract U.S. investment to Tijuana in order to generate jobs.

For this reason, Ruiz Macfarland went to Los Angeles, California, together with the Secretary of Economic Development of Tijuana, Gabriel Camarena Salinas, to reinforce strategies with the Mexican Consulate of the region and attract more sources of employment.

Likewise, the XXIII City Hall of Tijuana, through the Secretariat of Economic Development, kicked off the Tijuana 2021 Job Fair, a hybrid project that aims to bring citizens closer to the existing job opportunities in the region.

You will be able to find more than two thousand job offers in person here and three thousand more virtually. In total, more than 37 on-site companies promoted their positions among residents of Tijuana and 170 companies were present through this platform.

Regarding this, Esteban Fernando Quintanilla Ancira, Director of Economic Development of Sedeti, mentioned that: "For the Mayor of Tijuana, Karla Patricia Ruiz Macfarland, it is important to promote employment among the population as a source of development and welfare".
